Emmanuels HSS Kothanalloor

Emmanuel HSS Kothanalloor had its seminal form in the Mudappa vernacular school that was started in 1919. It was the outpouring of a deep vision in the minds of certain people who believed firmly in the old saying" Education is the most important of all wealth". Emmanuel's has since been progressing through the trail blazed initially and is now a prominent center of learning attracting students from far and wide. It hosts well over 2500 students and employs more than 80 staff. Since the time Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Puthenpura has taken over as manager, the school has made quantum leap in the direction of new technologies and infrastructure facilities. Today, the school has become one of the most prominent and leading schools in Kottayam district as well as in the entire Diocese of palai, both in the academic level and extra curricular activities. A new Audio Visual Hall is also presently under construction and is expected to function shortly. Kothanalloor is a village located in the Kottay am District of Kerala, India. It is situated on the Kottayam-Ernakulam (Cochin) highway, 21 kilometres from Kottayam and 53 kilometres from Ernakulam. The nearest railway station is at Kuruppanthara.
